Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY (Summary of the scope of responsibilities)

Lead engineer for Control Technologies engineering team at the India Tech Center in Vadodara, India.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Details of the Job Responsibilities)
1.	Executing the design & engineering activities as per requirements specified by Value center’s Engineering Department.
2.	Perform Hardware Design Tasks as defined by the Control Technologies management team
3.	Assist in recruiting and development of the ITC Control Technologies Engineering Team to create an effective/efficient organization.
4.	Lead ITC Control Technologies Engineering Team.
5.	Lead Hardware & Software Design project schedules to ensure on-time, on budget design releases
6.	Define priorities for engineering team
7.	Maintain required regulatory engineering standards
8.	Review operating results of the team and take measures to insure results are consistent with established objectives.
9.	Work together with US Point of Contact for Control Technologies Engineering team to allocate resources in accordance with CT Senior Management direction.
10.	Maintain direct contact with key Control Technologies customers in APAC region on an ongoing basis and be involved in major customer proposals and business activity.
11.	Participate in design reviews with US engineering teams
12.	Other duties as applicable.

Minimum Professional/educational qualification and experience: 
o	Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics / EC / Power Electronics) with first class and consistently good academic track record.
o	5 years design and development experience.

Important competencies and knowledge required 
o	Having design and development experience in CNC and plasma cutting equipment industry
o	Project Management of Engineering on specific Hardware Design Projects
o	Embedded Level Hardware Design, Power Electronics, custom firmware development, Printed Circuit Board Design (PADS or similar), Digital and Analog Circuit Design (DxDesigner or similar), CAD

o	Familiarity with PC based controls, non PC based controls, AC and DC Servo Drives & Motors, Software Development skills

o	Plasma Cutting machines and rooms, high voltage potentials, mechanical hazards (moving machinery), high temperature hazards (hot metal, plasma arc, sparks)
o	Occasional travel, both domestic and international
