Asst / Dty Manager - BIW - R&D ( Design & Development)

Experience :- 3 to 8 Yrs

Qualification :- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical - With First Class

Responsible for :-

Development of sheet metal Body Parts of New / Current Models .

1. Source selection for sheet metal parts and RRFQ generation.
2. Specification meetings with Suppliers and overseas toolmakers.
3. Schedule monitoring & follow up for critical design, process issues.
4. Active participation in weld trials, paint shop trial, assembly during design & production trials.
5. Dies buy off activity as well as dies commissioning & schedule monitoring.

Design of BIW of New / Current Models.

1. Styling data checking & feasibility study for engineering design & regulations.
2. Benchmarking of with other models & DFMEA
3. Design of the Front Underbody sheet metal parts as per manufacturability, assembly, formability and strength.
4. Modification of the parts as per CAE feedback & feasibility for modification in production tool or prototype tools.
5. Feasibility study & implementation of toolmaker feedback in design.
6. Design completion for following parts in New / Current Models
A. Front underbody parts such as Cross member, Member Hood lock, member lamp support, member apron. Cowl side
B. Front Bumper radiator grill, Bezels, fender lining, luggage room area parts such as jack mounting, spare wheel mounting and cover for luggage area.
C. Design of Quarter trim upper, B-pillar trim.
